I’ve never been able to work 5 days a week. I couldn’t manage a typical 9-5 job. Even throughout high school I’d have to take a day off every week, despite my parents getting into trouble for my attendance. My whole life I thought I was lazy, that I couldn’t just do what everyone else did, but I *think* I know the answer now. It’s because I’m neurodivergent.
Now, I say *think* because I’m exploring my neurodivergence and this has led me to a self-diagnosis. I don’t have an official diagnosis (yet), but from the research I’ve done, I can say I definitely ‘fit’. I’ll explore that further in another post, but for now I want to talk about how working a 9-5 just isn’t right for some people, and how I’ve had to rethink how my business to make it work for me, and I’d love to share that with you.
