Lesson Twenty Two: Home Life & Possessions
This is Lesson Twenty Two of the Simple & Calm course. Today’s lesson is all about understanding how our homes make us feel. We’ll be completing an exercise which goes into detail of each room, and gets to the root of what’s causing you stress in your home. This course is for paid subscribers only, but if you’d like to enrol and get immediate access to this lesson, and all previous lessons, then you can upgrade your subscription by clicking the button below. This lesson is the start of a new module - Home Life & Possessions. During this module, over the next few weeks, we’ll spend time simplifying our homes, clearing the clutter, preventing clutter from accumulating again, and designing a home that is the perfect calm retreat.
Your home should be the antidote of stress. It should be the place you are able to relax and unwind. Your home should be a calming retreat that relaxes your shoulders and un-tenses your muscles. You should be able to breathe and think and find clarity in your home.
It should not be overwhelming, stressful and unbearable to live in. How are you supposed to find your creativity, be productive at work, and be patient and understanding to yourself and your family if you’re living in a space that brings so much anxiety and stress?
For the first part of this lesson, we need to understand what exactly we need to change in our homes, and with our possessions. We don’t want to go rushing in and making massive changes, because we’re not even sure what the problem is yet.
