We’ve completed 6 modules of the Simple & Calm course so far, and I think we’re about due a catch up before we move onto the next. So this post is a chance to grab a hot drink, cosy up under a blanket on the sofa, relax your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and breathe. Let’s chat.
New here?
If you’re new here and you don’t know what the Simple & Calm course is, or maybe you’re thinking about joining, now is the perfect chance for you to reach out and ask me anything. You may even get some replies from other members of the course too, so feel free to direct any questions to them as well!
Want to know what we’ve covered so far? Perhaps you’d like to know the best way to work through the course, whatever is niggling you, no question is out of bounds, come and ask it in the comments…
Current members of the course:
Here’s a recap of the modules so far. Each one is a link if you’d like to click through and explore them:
What we’ll cover for the rest of 2023:
Module Seven: Family & Relationships
We’ve covered A LOT since January, and I think this is a good time to take a breather, catch up and ask me anything. Plus I have a small favour to ask from you too.
Firstly, I really hope you’re enjoying the course so far. I love teaching it and chatting to you in the comments and in the Chat.
Did you know that as paid members of the course, you have permission and access to start your own conversation within our chat space? If you ever have a question, or you’d like to share what you’re working on with the rest of the S&C community, then you can head to Chat and ask away.
All you need to do is head to the Substack App, click on the speech bubbles (at the bottom right of your screen), find my chat space called Simple & Calm, and once you’re in there you can tap on ‘start new thread’ and ask your question, share a photo or anything else.
Ask me anything:
Looking back over the 6 modules we’ve covered so far, is there anything that you’d like to ask me, or a subject you’d like more detail/ clarification on? Feel free to ask it in the comments and I’ll reply:
I’ll add your questions to a FAQ post for subscribers who are thinking about joining the course, so that they have all the information.
If you don’t have anything to ask, I’d love to know how you’re using the course. Have you started from Module One, or are you selecting modules that are the most applicable to you first? Which modules/ lessons have been the most useful to you so far?
Going forward:
We’re fast approaching the 1 year anniversary of the Simple & Calm Course (in January 2024), and I’m thinking of changing things up a bit.
BUT!
I want to keep you, wonderful subscriber, at the heart of the course. This course is for you and it needs to help and benefit you as much as possible. Therefore, I’d love to know what you’d like from the course next year.
Would you like live calls via Zoom once a month? Would you like a Facebook group (I did have one, and I can absolutely reactivate it if you’d like me to)? Would you like more/ less workbooks? I’ll consider all suggestions.
I was thinking of offering some kind of quick voice note for you. It could be something little to encourage, motivate or prompt an action. Would this be useful to you? Are there any other features you’d like to be included?
OR!
Is everything absolutely fine the way it is? Your feedback is what I use to grow and develop the course, so if you ever think of any improvements or features you’d like to be included, please always reach out. You can reach me at: simpleandcalm@substack.com
Feedback:
And finally, a small favour to ask of you, if I may. If you’ve enjoyed and benefited from the course, I’d love it and really appreciate it if you could leave me a review/ feedback/ testimonial. I’d like to share these on my course information page to help potential members know if the course is for them or not.
You can email me your testimonial at: simpleandcalm@substack.com, or you can fill out this very quick Google Form if that’s easier:
Thank you so much for being part of the Simple & Calm Course. You have helped me bring a dream of mine to life, and for that I’m eternally grateful.
I loved your chapter on experiences, not things. 🥰 And I have been thinking a lot about it, especially in terms on how to explain it to children. I haven’t any (yet hopefully), but I have some friends with kids and I’d live to gift them experiences instead of things. So the last time I made a little crochet bag, to be able to explain I made it for you, and thought of making a cake. Do you have any great ideas on what to do? And how to explain it to them? ✨
