Lots of you have other needs and responsibilities outside of your creative businesses, whether it’s children, caring responsibilities, your mental health, or your neurodivergence, it’s a lot, and there’s no need to do it all. How are you navigating summer as a business owner? How does it all feel? What are your plans? Do you have any?
Sophie, your words on "enoughness" truly resonated with me. It's so easy to get caught up in that pre-summer frenzy, feeling like we need to cram in one more big push before we can finally exhale. I've definitely been there, frantically trying to batch content or schedule everything under the sun, only to realize I'm just adding more pressure to an already full plate. It's a powerful shift in perspective to simply ask, "What if everything you've achieved, written, or created up to now is enough?"
That question is a balm for the soul. It reminds us that our worth isn't tied to constant output, and that true productivity can often be found in stepping back. Thank you for that gentle nudge to challenge the ingrained hustle mentality and allow ourselves the grace to believe that what we've done is indeed sufficient.
A lovely reminder Sophie, although we are in the depths of winter here in Australia!
