I love reading these sorts of posts on Substack because, as it turns out, I’m incredibly nosey. Would you call it nosey? Maybe I’m just intrigued about how other people live, and their take on the world.
I’d love to get to know you better, and it got me thinking that maybe you’d like to get to know me a little better too seeing as I’ve been entering your inbox twice a week for 3 months now. It feels like the right time for my first Ask Me Anything post.
How will it work?
It does what it says on the tin, but all you need to do is pop your question in the comments section at the bottom of this post. You can do that by clicking on this button…
I’ll read every single one and reply to your questions as honestly as I can. I promise to not filter my responses.
What can you ask me?
Anything! Literally anything.
Ask me anything about a post I’ve written, about my debts, about parenting (soon to be 3 children 😅), about quitting my job in the NHS to go self employed, what living in Yorkshire is like, or what my favourite book is. Anything goes. Also, if you’d like to know anything about my Simple & Calm course, this is your chance!
Will you do me a favour though?
I’m going on maternity leave in February and I really want to take this opportunity to get to know you, and find out what you want to see more of (or less of) from me.
That way, I can make sure that I’m creating posts that are relevant and interesting to you.
So, tell me about yourself. Where are you on your simple living journey? What issues/ problems are holding you back from living a simple life? What is the best part of a slow life for you?
What do you want to see more of? What posts are you enjoying? What am I not covering that you want to see/ read? Would you like more lifestyle posts? How about interviews with other similar accounts? Do you enjoy the monthly goals and intentions where I talk about my debt journey?
Let’s have a chat so that I can make sure that I’m writing about the sort of stuff that’s relevant to you and your life. This Substack is becoming a wonderful community and I love reading and chatting to you on the comments. So, please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you for being part of this with me. It means the world!
One last thing… would you like this AMA to be a regular thing? Let me know by voting in the poll here:

Love it, thanks for sharing 🤗
My weekdays start with getting up and having a coffee or two before my girls get up. Everyone has breakfast and then my husband takes my eldest daughter to school on his way to work. My youngest daughter is home with me ☺️
I exercise and do a workout most mornings of the week. Afterwards, I tidy up the kitchen and either head to the library with my daughter, or we play for a bit before I work on my writing and/or reading Substack posts, commenting, etc...
Lunch, any chores that need to be done, then I pick up my eldest from school. Home, time with my girls, any tasks that need to be done , a bit of reading, dinner together and just time spent as a family. There are also times where I am out and about running errands. Why did no one tell us that as an adult, you will always be running errands? 😂 There has to be an end point, am I right? 😂
What does a typical ‘day in the life’ look like? I always find it interesting how people spend their days 🙂
