Love it, thanks for sharing 🤗

My weekdays start with getting up and having a coffee or two before my girls get up. Everyone has breakfast and then my husband takes my eldest daughter to school on his way to work. My youngest daughter is home with me ☺️

I exercise and do a workout most mornings of the week. Afterwards, I tidy up the kitchen and either head to the library with my daughter, or we play for a bit before I work on my writing and/or reading Substack posts, commenting, etc...

Lunch, any chores that need to be done, then I pick up my eldest from school. Home, time with my girls, any tasks that need to be done , a bit of reading, dinner together and just time spent as a family. There are also times where I am out and about running errands. Why did no one tell us that as an adult, you will always be running errands? 😂 There has to be an end point, am I right? 😂

Love this! It sounds perfect ☺️.

You are so right! I spent an hour this morning doing ‘admin’. What even is admin?! Booking more swimming lessons, chasing the mechanic about my car that failed it’s MOT, arranging appointments, emailing the mortgage advisor - no one told me about this part of adulting 🤣

I used to think being an adult was so much fun. Going to bed late, buying what you want at shops, no one telling you ‘no’. How wrong was I?!

What does a typical ‘day in the life’ look like? I always find it interesting how people spend their days 🙂

Oh, great question! I like seeing a 'day in the life' of others too!

I'll write a longer post about this in more detail, but to answer you quickly here, my weekdays tends to look like this:

Mornings are spent having breakfast with the children and getting them ready for school.

Then it's time for work. I have many different titles and work as a virtual assistant as well as for myself in my print business. I complete the tasks I need to for my VA job, and then it's on to packing orders and designing and uploading new listings to my Etsy shop.

Lunch is always spent catching up on the news, or reading posts from other writers here on Substack. It's also when I get to spend time fussing over my dogs, and quickly potter around the house tidying up and putting the washing away (the perks of working from home).

After lunch is when I tick off any outstanding tasks for the day before heading to get the children from school. Then we venture out to whatever after school club we have that day before getting home and having tea when my husband arrives home from work.

The evening is my favourite though! We love spending time together as a family so we tend to gather on the sofas (or all bundle into my bed) where we watch a film and unwind for the night before bed.

Once everyone else is asleep, I come to life (I'm very much a night owl) and this is when I get some of my best, most productive work done.

What about you? What does your typical day look like? 😊

Lovely idea 💡 I’d like to know what life in Yorkshire is like - what do you love? What’s missing, what’s a routine like? Congrats on baby number 3! I’m a big fan of lifestyle writing so in terms of yours I’d just be interested in anything you’re passionate in talking about. I’m a huge fan of the slow lived life and things feeling efficient and quietly ambitious so I think that’s why I’m here and I love your work. ⚖️✨💫

Claire, your support on my posts has been wonderful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and reply!

Life in Yorkshire is magical. I live on the border of North and West Yorkshire which has miles and miles of beautiful countryside as well as not being too far from some vibrant cities - the best of both worlds really. The country has my heart though.

I'm not sure what's missing here as I haven't explored much of the UK, yet. The plan was to hire (maybe renovate) a camper van for us to tour the UK in, but then 2020 happened 😬 and that put a stop to our plans. Where about's are you based?

I can certainly talk more about lifestyle and my passions. This has given me some ideas for future posts, thank you!

I'm so pleased that you love my writing. I love creating these posts and it means the world that others are getting joy from them too 😊
